Kames Motorsport Race Day 2026 – A Fantastic Day of Speed and Community Spirit
There is something truly special about spending a day at Kames Motorsport Complex. Nestled just outside Muirkirk in Ayrshire, the venue once again played host to an exciting Race Day July 2026, bringing together drivers, families and petrol heads for a brilliant celebration of motorsport.
From the moment the engines fired into life, there was a real buzz around the circuit. Spectators were treated to a fantastic variety of MX5's!
One of the highlights was seeing the incredible passion and dedication shown by the competitors and organisers. Motorsport at Kames has always had a welcoming, grassroots feel, and the event perfectly showcased the strong sense of community that surrounds the circuit. Drivers were more than happy to chat with visitors, giving everyone an insight into what goes into preparing and competing in these events.
The weather played its part too, allowing spectators to enjoy the racing action from various viewpoints around the track. The sound of roaring engines, the smell of tyre rubber and fuel, and the excitement of seeing cars pushed to their limits made for an unforgettable experience.
A particular highlight for many visitors was the opportunity to experience passenger rides around the circuit in the ever-popular Mazda MX-5s. These rides gave people the chance to feel the speed and handling of the cars first hand, adding another level of excitement to the day.
As both an artist and photographer, events such as these provide endless inspiration. The vibrant colours of the race cars, the determination on the faces of the drivers and the sheer energy of motorsport make Kames a wonderful place to capture memorable images.
A huge thank you must go to everyone involved in organising the event and to all the competitors who put on such an entertaining display. Kames Motorsport Race Day 2026 was another fantastic success and a reminder of why grassroots motorsport continues to hold such a special place in the hearts of so many people.
