Porto

My photography from Porto is a visual sketchbook of a city steeped in colour, texture, and quiet drama. Wandering its steep streets and riverbanks, I was drawn to the same elements that influence my painting: bold contrasts, layered histories, and moments of unexpected beauty. Sun-bleached walls, patterned tiles, weathered doors, and reflections on the Douro all became part of a living composition.

Rather than chasing postcard views, I focused on atmosphere and rhythm — how light spills across stone, how time leaves its mark on surfaces, and how everyday life unfolds within such a richly cinematic setting. There’s a painter’s eye behind each photograph, framing scenes for their balance, colour harmony, and emotional pull.

These images sit naturally alongside my wider art practice. They celebrate place, accessibility, and storytelling — capturing Porto not as a tourist destination, but as a vibrant, breathing city full of character, warmth, and soul. Like my paintings, this work is about inviting people in and letting them connect with a place through feeling as much as through sight.

Commissions & Project Work

I welcome photography commissions and project-based work of all sizes, from individual pieces to full collections created for businesses, organisations, and public spaces. Whether the brief is commercial, documentary, or creatively led, I approach every project with a strong focus on storytelling, atmosphere, and a genuine connection to place.

My commissioned work often centres around people, environments, and communities, capturing moments that feel authentic rather than staged. I enjoy working closely with clients to understand their vision while bringing my own artistic eye and experience to each project.

If you’re looking for photography that reflects character, heritage, or identity — whether for a restaurant, workplace, exhibition, or private space — I’m always open to new ideas and collaborations. Every commission is tailored to the project, ensuring the final work feels considered, meaningful, and unique.
