Ayr, Horror & New Art! – Arttoon at the Blackheart Market
It was time to hit the road again and head down to Ayr Town Hall for another Blackheart Market!
This time, rather than simply jumping straight into the market, I decided to take you along for the journey. The latest Arttoon video starts with a wander through Ayr, beginning at the Cutty Sark Centre, passing the Farmers Market and taking in a few of the sights and sounds of the town before making my way towards Ayr Town Hall.
Then it's time for the main event!
The Blackheart Market is always a great place to meet fellow artists, creators, collectors and lovers of all things alternative, weird and wonderful. There's a fantastic atmosphere, and it's a perfect setting for showing some of my Original Horror Art and Prints.
But this visit had something extra special...
Two New Paintings!
I brought along two brand-new pieces of artwork and reveal them during the video:
Rob Zombie and The Thing.
Both are right at home alongside my growing collection of horror-inspired Arttoons and Fan Art. I love taking characters and subjects that people know and giving them my own Arttoon treatment.
And, of course, I couldn't spend the day at a Blackheart Market without doing some drawing!
Throughout the day you'll see me creating horror cartoons and monster Toons, drawing some of the characters and creatures that make these events so much fun.
For me, these events aren't just about selling artwork. They're about meeting people, drawing, chatting, creating something new and seeing the reactions when people watch a character appear on the page in front of them.
