This striking painting of the Gateshead Millennium Bridge was created live during my time as a contestant on Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year in 2019. Painted in my signature big, bold and beautiful style, the piece captures the sweeping elegance of the bridge with vivid energy and fearless expression.
 
Set against the modern skyline of Newcastle and Gateshead, the bridge rises like a gleaming arc—rendered in vibrant tones, powerful brushwork, and a heightened sense of colour that pushes beyond realism. The water below reflects the scene in bold blues and purples, while the surrounding architecture and sky pulse with a life of their own.
