Sorrento & Positano

My photography from Sorrento and Positano captures the rhythm and romance of the Amalfi Coast — places where colour, light, and landscape feel almost theatrical. Clifftop towns tumble towards the sea, washed in sunlit pastels, deep blues, and warm Mediterranean tones that constantly shift with the day.

I approach these photographs with a painter’s eye, drawn to strong compositions, bold colour relationships, and the interplay between architecture and nature. Narrow streets, terraced buildings, boats resting on water, and distant horizons become layered scenes — part observation, part interpretation. Light is central to the work, carving shadows across walls and intensifying the vibrancy of the coast.

Rather than aiming for perfection, I look for moments that feel lived-in and human: laundry catching the breeze, worn steps, quiet corners away from the crowds. These details ground the grandeur of the setting and give the images warmth and authenticity.

Together, these photographs are a celebration of place and mood — echoing the energy and colour of my painted work, and inviting viewers to slow down, wander, and experience Sorrento and Positano as I did: through colour, feeling, and atmosphere.
