Bass Rock-The Sentinel of the Firth
 
From the vantage point of Lyle Hill, where the Forth breathes beneath the open sky, Bass Rock rises in the distance—an unwavering guardian of the sea, its form sculpted by time and tide. My acrylic strokes carve out its sheer presence, textured and dynamic, each layer of paint a testament to its rugged beauty.
 
The sky, an infinite canvas of shifting blues stretches above the rock, where seabirds etch their fleeting movements into the air. Swaths of white and slate-grey capture the rhythm of light and shadow as they play across its surface, the acrylic paint giving weight and life to the geological giant. Below, the restless waters lap and churn, reflecting the mood of the moment—sometimes gentle, sometimes tempestuous.
 
Lyle Hill provides perspective, an elevated silence where the rock commands both reverence and reflection.
