Baywatch: British Style
Forget California beaches and slow-motion lifeguards—Baywatch: British Style brings the action (and the laughs) to a very British seaside, complete with pasties, peculiar characters, and a whole lot of hair.
In this brilliantly cartoonish scene, chaos and comedy rule the beach. A ginger lad struts through the frame with a hairdo so towering it’s practically casting its own shadow, nearly blocking out the sun as he goes. Nearby, a lady lounges contentedly, munching on her pasties without a care in the world.
But what’s that in the sky? A rescue helicopter is mid-drama above the waves, bravely swooping in for a full-on sea rescue—and not a single person on shore seems to have noticed. They're far too busy sunbathing, posing, or just having a good old-fashioned nosy at their neighbours.
Digitally painted in my bold and brilliantly bonkers Arttoon style, this piece is a hilarious tribute to British beach culture—where the weather’s unpredictable, the snacks are sacred, and the lifeguards have their work cut out.
