Trick 'r Treat, Sam is the mysterious and unsettling guardian of Halloween from Trick ’r Treat, a small figure in a burlap sack costume who silently enforces the traditions of the holiday. Though childlike in appearance, Sam embodies something far older and more mythic—an eerie enforcer of respect for Halloween’s rules, appearing wherever those traditions are broken.
 
This piece captures his quiet but commanding presence, balancing innocence with something deeply otherworldly. The simplicity of his costume contrasts with the weight of his role, creating a character who feels both whimsical and ominous at the same time.
 
Painted in my bold, expressive style, the work uses strong atmosphere and vivid tone to emphasise the flicker between charm and dread. It presents Sam not just as a horror figure, but as a symbol of Halloween itself—playful on the surface, but with a darker code underneath.
